The Smog Riders - Dimensions of Madness is a game for 2 to 4 players, where each player controls a group of unique characters who compete against each other for control of steam technology and the secrets hidden in the Stygian Dimension.
During the game, each player pits their characters against the other players' characters and the dangers that lurk in the mysterious and dark Stygian Dimension. Accomplishing the objectives of each mission, searching for powerful artifacts, and eliminating rivals will earn each player points toward victory over the others. Throughout the game, the characters will have to prepare themselves, adapt, and utilize the ever-changing environment to overcome their enemies. Only those who utilize the environment correctly will be the true Smog Riders!
The first thing to do when starting a game is to create teams. Up to four different teams can be formed. In a game, there will always be two sides: the attackers and the defenders. The attackers will always be from the same faction (Commonsteam Alliance or Abyssal Empire) and the defender will be from the other. For two players, one player will be the attacker and the other the defender, but for three or four players, one player will be the defender and the rest will be attackers.
An attacking team is always composed of three characters, however, the defending player will have all of their team's characters available throughout the match.
The character cards have two profiles depending on whether the character plays as an Assailant or a Defender. The Smog Riders - Dimensions of Madness is played on a game board consisting of several tiles arranged together according to the scenario map. These tiles represent the factories of both factions and also the dark passages of the Stygian Dimension. Each tile is divided into several equal spaces. These spaces can be occupied by a maximum of one character each.
The scenarios represent different missions the Smog Riders will have to complete in their fight to master the power of steam. Each scenario's description contains several sections for preparing the game board.
You can play all missions by choosing the board that represents either the Commonsteam headquarters or the Abyssal Empire lair, depending on who you want to be the attacking side and who the defending side.
The Smog Riders is not just a board game with figures like the hundreds on the market.

All under the same game system and through the Stygian dimension, it will be easy to jump from one era to another by changing scenarios, figures, and missions.
