KNIGHT TEMPLAR, 13th CENTURY

The Knights Templar, feared for their ferocity and lethal effectiveness on horseback, belonged to a structured religious and military order. Warrior monks of the late Middle Ages between the 12th and 15th centuries. Armed guardians of the Holy Sepulchre, they took a vow of chastity, poverty, and obedience.
